Until further notice, the Library building will be closed. However, wherever possible we have moved to online delivery and will be working to support CapU students, faculty and staff as we move forward. Here's what we're offering right now:
- full access to all eResources - including eBooks; online articles, journals, databases and Discovery; streaming video and audio
- Research Help Desk ONLINE - via chat
- copyright assistance - email email@example.com
- liaison support in your subject area - Contact your liaison librarian with questions or requests.
- borrowing articles from other institutions though interlibrary loan - fill in the online form
The computers in the library are currently unavailable, but there are computers available on campus. Right now they are in Fir 210 and 213, and they should also have printer access. This may change as they consolidate based on the limited demand. Open 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Monday - Friday.

You can return items at the Library Returns Drop-off, through the west entrance, next to Student Success, off Greg Lee Way.
Unfortunately, you can't. Some print books are also available in digital version - check Discovery to see if the book you want is available in ebook format.

No, CapU Library items must be returned to CapU Library. They can be returned anytime via the Library's external book drop or you can keep them at home until the Library reopens for on-campus services.
No, we are pausing the system completely for now. No additional fines will be added to any accounts while we are physically closed.
If we have been able to purchase the ebook, there will be access through Discovery or in eLearn; otherwise you'll need to ask your instructor about their expectations or alternative resources.
The Library building is open from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Mon-Fri for drop off of materials only. Library remote service hours are from 9 AM to 3 PM.
Yes, we are still doing our best to supply resources in electronic format. This includes articles and eBook chapters (one chapter per eBook only). To submit a request online please fill out the request form on our website, or select the interlibrary loan link if searching the library databases. Unfortunately, we are unable to get physical books from other libraries at this time, or articles/chapters in print material due to many other libraries practicing limited to no ILL services until further notice. This may also slow or limit the arrival for interlibrary loan requests, so it is a good idea to give extra time to when submitting a request.
Yes, online help is waiting for your questions through the chat box on our Ask a Librarian page. CapU Librarians will be online until April 17th.
During the interterm period, Apr 18-May 19th, the popular AskAway service will be available through the same chat box.
