Your liaison librarian remains the best contact - if there is anything you need, they will be able to help or put you in touch with someone who can.
Borrowing of physical items (books, DVDs) is available to faculty at this time. Email email@example.com with your requested titles, preferably including a Discovery permalink to the item, and receive them through interoffice mail. Unfortunately, we can't extend this service to students. Please revise your summer assignments to reflect that physical items will be inaccessible. However, 88% of our collection is online - contact your liaison librarian to discuss any issues this may cause and find possible solutions.
Course reserves have been moved online wherever possible. For Fall 2020 needs, contact firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible to ensure we have the time to source materials and make them available for September.
Course recommended readings, as listed on your syllabus, can be purchased and added to the Library collection with prioroty given to eBooks with multi-user licenses. Let us know what yours are, and we’ll investigate. As always, you can recommend a purchase through your liaison librarian or the online form.
For students, we will be providing summer support via Research Help Desk Online, a chat version of our popular service. Capilano University Librarians will be online Monday to Thursday, 11 am - 3 pm throughout each summer term. Additional support hours will be provided by the provincial service, AskAway. Students can also email their liaison librarian to ask a question or to make an online appointment.
