Originally from Manitoba, Bethany is a proud member of the Manitoba Métis Nation from Treaty 1 Territory, near Winnipeg. She previously served as the Indigenous Learning and Engagement Librarian at the University of Calgary from 2021-22. Her research interests include: Indigenous academic librarianship (particularly teaching and information literacy), terminologies and curse words, Imposter Syndrome, Canadian law, scholarly communications, Open Access, and ancient sexuality.
