Christina’s leadership work is focused on providing a supportive work environment for her team so that they are empowered to evolve their professional practice in ways that can continue to provide high levels of service to the Capilano University community and the library community. Having studied leadership with a focus on post-secondary education, Christina’s scholarship considers the social construction of both higher education and librarianship and its connection to gendered practices. She is also keenly interested in representations of library workers in popular culture and the messages they reify about gendered labour, whiteness, and the past.
