Jocelyn (she/her) is a parent, librarian, and educator whose current work is centred around the library collections budget, policies, and selection. She is focused on developing a collection that supports student and faculty needs both in and outside of the curriculum, with an emphasis on materials that take critical or anti-oppressive perspectives, represent varied knowledges, and are identity-affirming. She is exploring how equity and justice might be facilitated in library collections and acquisitions practices, given that these practices are inherently colonial and typically uphold white supremacy and cisheteropatriarchy. She is also a knitter and maker.
