All faculty and staff are automatically downloaded into our Library system and assigned a Library account. Your CapCard photo ID is your Library card.
Log in to My Library with your CapU credentials to check on due dates, renew items or place holds.
For off-campus access to online resources, you will need to log in with your CapU credentials.
Faculty and staff have special borrowing privileges at Capilano University Library - please remember to return materials when you are finished using them.
Reciprocal Borrowing
Borrowing privileges at other libraries are available to CapU faculty. Stop by the Library Services Desk to pick up one or both cards to take out books from other libraries in BC and across Canada.
CPSLD Reciprocal Borrowing - take out books at other BC post-secondary libraries. Note: Reciprocal borrowing privileges may be suspended due to COVID. Please check with the lending library to see if they are allowing reciprocal borrowing at this time.
COPPUL CURBA - borrow books from participating libraries across Canada, via the Canadian University Reciprocal Borrowing Agreement (CURBA). Note: fees may apply at some libraries.
Retired Faculty and Staff
Retired faculty and staff may continue to borrow books and media from CapU Library as a Community Borrower, free of charge. Due to licensing restrictions, off-campus use of electronic resources is not permitted. Visit the Library Services Desk to set up your account.
