Can I use the Library?
Students studying at CapU Squamish have free access to Library services at both campuses. At CapU Squamish, students have access to the Library Services room, two silent study areas, one bookable group study room, a printer/scanner, as well as the Library Commons, Café lounge, and Student lounge. These are all located on the fourth floor of the Academic Building.
Some Course Reserves (textbooks or materials made available by your instructors) are available in the Library Services room for 1-day loans on a sign-out basis, but the Library does not provide textbooks for most courses. Textbooks can be purchased through the CapU Bookstore.
Students studying at CapU Squamish may request any physical items available at CapU Library (print books, magazines, articles, media, etc.) for pick-up at the CapU Squamish campus. Use the Discovery search box on the Library website homepage to search and place a request.
To get research assistance, select Ask a Librarian on the Library website for virtual support, or use the Research Guides for research tips by subject area.
Victoria Gauthier (Library Technician) is available at CapU Squamish Tuesday-Friday for in-person assistance and questions. You can reach her at 778-894-0458, or you can contact the North Vancouver campus by phone at 604-984-4944 during service hours, or by email at library@capilanou.ca.
Note: CapU Squamish also has a Library Building. The Library Building is currently closed to the public, except for events. Event inquiries can be sent to SquamishEvents@capilanou.ca.
